the post office is an excellent example of how parts of Poland have not changed since communism. sure you can add ac, a number system for ques, even better lighting... but you can't change the mindset of the ladies who work there. with an almost admirable lack of passion, a clear lack of will to live, they filter out all positive responses and generously spill all their frustrations onto the customers. as you approach the little window all you can wonder is "how fucked am i?" there's exceptions to every rule, nice ladies with a friendly smile do exist. they're the ones that can't find you package. somebody give these people steroids and mdma. customer service is, after all, critical during an economic downturn.
